The new HYBRID module: more stability for trapezoidal sheet metal systems

We are proud to present the latest development from our PV manufacturer DAS Energy:

The new HYBRID PV module is a cost-effective alternative and, at just 6.8 kg/m², is still light enough for many applications!

The special feature of this innovation is that DAS Energy has integrated glass into the production process for the first time in its own technology process. A 2 mm thin glass plate on the back of the module offers additional protection against cell breakage due to bending, while the advantages of composite materials are still available on the front.

By combining thin glass and unique composite materials, DAS Energyhas developed a module that, despite its low weight, is perfectly suited to roofs with load-bearing problems. In many cases, it represents a cost-effective alternative to the ultra-light DAS Energy modules. The module is particularly suitable for trapezoidal sheet metal surfaces, as it offers more rigidity due to the thin glass plate and therefore bends less than the conventional lightweight and flexible DAS Energy PV modules.
