DAS Kraftwerk - Who we are and what we offer

We are a team of solar enthusiasts, experienced engineers and craftsmen, and together we will plan, design and install your next solar power plant!

Our name stands for the power of the sun, for the energy that our team puts into the many photovoltaic projects every day, and for a piece of freedom that our customers receive in the form of electricity independence through our PV systems.

We also offer all the PV modules that we use for our projects in our online store, where we primarily offer lightweight & flexible solar modules for mobile PV applications: Balcony power plants, PV modules for mobile homes and boats, solar roofs for golf carts and much more.

If you would prefer to work with us for the planning & installation of larger PV projects, you are welcome to contact us at any time by telephone or via the website. We look forward to your inquiry.

Powered by DAS Energy

Above all, however, we are proud of the innovative DAS Energy - Made in Austria PV modules, which are produced in Wiener Neustadt by the company DAS Energy. The innovative modules weigh just 3.6 kg/m2 and can be bonded to various surfaces quickly and easily:

Our pioneering work in photovoltaic technology began in 2010, when Christian Dries, founder and managing director of DAS Energy Ltd, and his team developed the world's first photovoltaic modules embedded in glass fiber-reinforced plastic. Inspired by materials and technologies from the aviation industry, the result was the lightest photovoltaic modules on the market, which also guarantee a service life of more than 40 years. Since 2016, the high-quality DAS Energy photovoltaic modules have been produced at the Wiener Neustadt site in Lower Austria and sold worldwide. The technology is continuously being developed at the company's own research and development center, with the current production capacity being 55 megawatts per year.

Innovation shapes the world: Christian Dries had already been successfully active in aircraft construction for many years with his company Diamond Aircraft. In 2009, alongside the aircraft business, he began developing innovative and lightweight photovoltaic modules made of glass fiber materials. These research activities led to the founding of DAS Energy Ltd. in 2010. With the market maturity of DAS Energy photovoltaic modules and the sale of Diamond Aircraft in 2017, Dries made photovoltaics his core business.
